This business card case holds a stack of business cards (obviously) and up to a dozen Micro SD memory cards below a false bottom. It’s made from hobby stock – the kind in craft stores that comes in weird sizes like 1/32 inch thick – which willingly accommodates designs that hinge on having accurate dimensions. The veneer is a combination of species – the octopus is lacewood and birdseye maple. Lacewood shifts in the light so it was ideal for octopus skin, but it’s a violent material to work with as it breaks under tiny amounts of pressure and attacks you with a barrage of splinters even before you touch it. It’s worth it, though, because it glows. I documented it in gory detail at Instructables: http://www.instructables.com/id/Business-Card-Case-With-Covert-Micro-SD-Compartmen/
